Welcome to our new web site.
Many things have changed here at AndersonPC and this new website is a way that I figured would be a great way to showcase many of these changes.
Where are we going?
Over the last year we have revamped our business plan to transform our company and services into a 'pure-play' managed service provider. What exactly does that mean? Well, simply put, its a range of services and solutions like remote monitoring and management, desktop management, and complete reporting capabilities. Adding on to that is hardware as a service allowing our clients to package hardware and service into one fixed fee approach with guaranteed uptime for those most critical services. This allows us to approach our clients as partners in the IT services so if they go down, its in both our interest to get you up and running as fast as possible. Our guaranteed uptime includes a penalty if we are unable to achieve the uptime we promised.
Always Changing...
AndersonPC has made several transitions in the past. As technology and the industry changes we have to. Its just the nature of the industry. When we started the company back in 1996 we sold hardware like motherboards and memory. In 1999, we had sold thousands of PC's and had a record year of $4.5M in sales. After the 'big milleneum bug' wasn't so big, hardware sales slowed industry wide and so to combat that we migrated to a service model. Since 2001 AndersonPC has focused solely on the service aspect of the industry. We stopped building our own private label boxes, became a DELL authorized reseller, and sold hardware just as a service and convenience to clients.
This last year...
Starting in April 2007, we began the transition to the managed service model. With an investment of over $150,000 we purchased all the tools necessary to provide a much higher level of services. We migrated to a new ticketing system, remote management and monitoring system, moved our servers into a collocation facility, and moved our offices to a more productive location. We then went to work on our service offerings. Not only did we change our monthly maintenance programs completely, but added services that set us apart from the rest. We also added new solutions like Voice over IP, Off-site secure backups, firewall and security protection products, and much more...
We are ready to move forward!
Fact of the matter is that I feel like we are a new company. New look, new location, new staff, and most of all new services that will allow our clients to reach a high level of IT reliability and capabilities.
Check back here from time to time and I'll keep you posted on things I find interesting going on in the company as well as the industry.
